This spicy grilled shrimp recipe is an easy, but affecting`, sea food recipe. A few hours in the spicy flavoring and these shrimp are complete for the fire. The recipe calls for shell-on shrimp for additional flavor, but these grilled shrimp can be done with skinned ones as well.
This week I am back to cooking full-time and could not be happier about it!  These shrimp are perfect for a midsummer meal.  Fast and easy, light and wonderful!  I distributed these with a salad and garlic cheddar biscuits for a lovely dinner.  Even if the spice rub is very simple to mixture up, next time I may try some with just regular Cajun seasoning to make it even more low-preservation.  I like Cajun seasoning and I think that would also give it a bit more heat.
This recipe was reformed from Cook’s Illustrated by my brother, an excellent cook who has made this shrimp for our family a lot of times. There are pair of secrets that make it great: One, you ocean the shrimp for about 30 minutes to help them stay particularly spicy on the grill. Two, you distribute them with liquid garlic butter for dropping.
Shrimp cook in no time, which means this hurry up, easy dinner you can do on a week night. It’s even easier if you have a grill basket (similar to this one, but with four sides), so you can just lob the shrimp in and move them over the blaze, but you can also skewer them.    
So fast and easy to make, these shrimp are bound to be the strike of the barbeque. And, weather not allowing, they work great under the broiler, too.
Ingredients

1.      1 large clove garlic.
2.      1 table spoon salt.
3.      ½ tea spoon cayenne pepper.
4.      1 tea spoon paprika.
5.      2 table spoons olive oil.
6.      2 table spoons lemon juice.
7.      2 pounds large shrimp, peeled and divined.
8.      8 wedges lemon, for garnish.

How to make Spicy Grilled Shrimp

Preheat grill for medium heat. In a little bowl, crush the garlic with the salt. Mix in cayenne pepper and paprika, and then mixing in olive oil and lemon juice to form a paste. In a large bowl, toss shrimp with garlic paste until evenly coated.

Lightly oil grill grate. Cook shrimp for 2 to 3 minutes per side, or until opaque. Handover to a serving dish, garnish with lemon wedges, and serve hot.
